This overall sporty and well-developed stallion caught our eye at the licensing in Westfalen at every presentation, and not least because of his constant concentration on his handler. Well-earned, he received the title of the reserve champion.
At the presentation on the triangle Trocadéro noir showed energetic hindleg and with that combined with his noble look, he left both the judges and the crowd thrilled for more. Both on the longe line and free he moved tactfully with an outstanding balance and regularity. After having our specialists check the X-Rays, the decision was made: we would be more than happy to have this wonderful stallion at our stud.
Out of the dam, the states premium mare Florenza, is already the up to M-Level succesful Don Jordi. The granddam (sired by Donnerhall) produced the licensed Spirit of Westfalia (s. Sandro Hit) as well as several states premium mares.
His sire, Total McLaren is a discovery from Dutch licensing in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where the beautiful and wonderfully long-legged black stallion attracted all eyes with his noble charisma and his three extremely high-quality paces. He got the bronze medaille at the Bundeschampionate as a 5-year-old, and already as a 4-year-old he received dreamy notes at the young horse tests. For the outstanding quality of his first crop of foals, Total McLaren was named main premium winner at the Oldenburg Stallion Days in 2021 in Vechta. His noble appearance has clearly been passed on to Trocadéro noir.
The sire of Total McLaren, Totilas, doesn’t need much of an introduction. At the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he was the sire of three competitors, including Glock’s Total U.S./Edward Gal/NED, placed sixth individually, and Go Legend/Marlies van Baalen/NED, placed fifth with the Dutch team. A record-breaking number of five of his offspring competed also at the 2022 World Championships in Herning. Totilas himself has broken three world records and and received three gold medals at the World Equestrian Games.
In the third generation of Trocadéro noir, the legendary dressage hero Donnerhall appears. Donnerhall has stablished a world renowned line of topflight dressage horses, and doesn’t need much of an introduction either.
We are extremely delighted to be able to offer Trocadéro noir to our breeders, and we’re already looking forward to his first presentations under the saddle.
